Pamphill is an attractive village of thatched cottages arranged
around a spacious village green, ideal for walking and cycling.
St. Stephen's Church to the north of the green is well worth
a visit.
The cricket ground is at the heart of the village green, and
to the south is the River Stour.
Also of interest near the village green is the Pamphill C.of
E. First School and Nursery.
This was originally built as an almshouse and school in 1698
as the 'pious and charitable gift of Roger Gillingham to God
and ye poor'. |
